Project Description
This game is an open-area-see how long you can survive' roguelike where the player will be dodging hordes of enemies while gaining levels from XP drops. Each 'level-up' will give the player choices from a large variety of auto-attacking weapons and powerups, making for an exciting and cathartic 'bullet hell' experience with an enjoyable replay ability.
The main obstacle in the game is the hordes of enemies chasing after the player. The enemies are modeled after monsters from Greek mythology, such as centaurs, minotaur, harpies, cyclops and hydras. Enemies spawn in waves of circles around the player, follow after them, and damage them if they collide.
This project is from a Team Studio course at Lindenwood University as a part of the Master's in Game Design degree fulfillment. The challenge/assignment was for our team of 5 developers to create a game with a high replay rate within the span of only 8 weeks. My roles in this project were: Sound Design Lead and Music Composer (developed all sounds and music), Enemy sprite and concept design, Mythos Concept Design, and Quality Testing.
